Preki Scores 87th-Minute Winner for Kansas City Wiz

Midfielder Preki headed in a goal with three minutes to play Wednesday as the Kansas City Wiz (4-5) broke a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the New York/New Jersey MetroStars (3-5) before 8,916 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. Giovanni Savarese gave the MetroStars the lead in the 26th minute with his league-leading eighth goal, but the Wiz tied it on a goal by Alan Prampin in the 82nd minute.

Fiorentina 2, New England Revolution 0--Argentine star Gabriel Batistuta scored one goal and set up another as the Italian Cup winner beat the MLS team before a Foxboro Stadium crowd of 14,047.
