Corona Centennial senior pitcher Jennifer Tolton retired the final 13 batters and had the game-winning single in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Huskies (25-4) a 4-3 victory over Cerritos in the Southern Section Division IV final last Friday. Tolton (23-3), who had pitched four consecutive shutouts in the playoffs, gave up five hits and three runs in the first three innings, but only three hits in the final seven innings. . . . Whittier La Serna pitcher Jackie DeBoard was dominating in the Lancers’ 12-inning, 1-0, victory over Upland in the Division III final Saturday. The senior lowered her earned-run average to 0.06, gave up three hits and struck out 14, improving her season total to 296. La Serna (28-1-1) scored the game’s only run on an RBI single by Nikki Garrett that bounced up the middle after Upland shortstop Christy Sears and second baseman Kim Schultze each thought the other had a play on the ball.
