Buena, Junior

200, 500 freestyle

Placed third in the 800-meter freestyle at the U.S. National meet in March and was second in the 500 at the Southern Section Division I finals.

* KENNETH CARPENTER

Crescenta Valley, Freshman

100 butterfly

Captured third place in the 100 butterfly at the Division II championships while turning in a season-best time of 51.85.

* ANTHONY ERVIN

Hart, Freshman

100 backstroke

Formed the best freshman duo in the region with teammate Ryan Parmenter. Ervin placed fourth in the Division II 100 backstroke in a time of 53.57.

* STEVE KIM

Crescenta Valley, Junior

100 breaststroke

Led the Falcons to the Pacific League championship, two consecutive titles in the Royal Invitational and third place in Division II finals.

* ERIC SHAFER

Thousand Oaks, Junior

50 freestyle, 100 freestyle

Peaked at the Division I championships, breaking a 20-year-old school record and finishing third in the 50 and 100 freestyles.

Burbank, Senior

200 individual medley

Placed fourth in 200 individual medley (1:56.50) and was fourth in 500 freestyle (4:41.97) in Division II meet. Won was a finalist in the past three section meets.

SECOND TEAM

* TROY DUMAIS

Buena, Sophomore

diving

Narrowly defeated by older brother Justin in Southern Section Division I final. Will compete in Olympic trials this summer.

* JOEL EVERMAN

Notre Dame, Sophomore

200 freestyle, 500 freestyle

A distance specialist, he placed third in the 200 and 500 in the Division II finals.

* SCOTT GREENWOOD

Glendale, Senior

100 freestyle

Placed fifth in Division II final in 47.25.

* MITCHELL HEFTER

Cleveland, Junior

50 freestyle

Two-time City Section champion qualified for junior nationals with a time of 21.53 in the City finals.

* CLEVE MAY

La Canada, Senior

100 butterfly

Placed fifth in Division II final, .61 seconds behind Carpenter.

* GREG PAGGI

Burroughs, Senior

100 breaststroke

Finished seventh in the Division II final and was team’s top all-around performer.

* JASON WEBER

Westlake, Sophomore

200 individual medley, 100 backstroke

Helped the Warriors to consecutive Marmonte League championships. In Division I finals, he placed fourth in 100 backstroke final.
