Oxley Wins Speedway Scratch Main

COSTA MESA — Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program in front of 5,002 Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Steve Lucero of Riverside was second in the main event and won the eight-lap handicap main event.

Also in the main event: Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa was third, Gary Hicks of Riverside fourth and Andy Northrup of Ontario fifth.
