Wiz Prevails in Shootout

Mo Johnston, Preki and Mike Sorber scored in a shootout Sunday to give the Kansas City Wiz a 3-2 Major League Soccer victory over the New York-New Jersey MetroStars before 11,139 at Arrowhead Stadium.

Ian Hennessy and A.J. Wood scored for the MetroStars (12-14).

The Wiz (17-13) scored when MetroStar midfielder Damian Silvera deflected the ball into his own net. Digital Takiwira also had a goal.
