1995 in Review

Fullerton ran rampant through the Freeway League, winning its first outright title in 12 years. Young and inexperienced Sunny Hills surprised many by finishing second and undermanned Troy managed to grab third with a late-season surge.

The senior-laden Indians were paced by Jon Wilkie, who rushed for 1,474 yards and 17 touchdowns on offense and proved to be a punishing tackler at linebacker.

Fullerton reached the semifinals of the Division VII playoffs, losing to eventual-champion Covina, 34-0. Sunny Hills was ousted in the quarterfinals by Lompoc, and Troy was bounced in the first round by Covina.

Other noted individual performances were turned in by Sonora running back Shaw Brass (1,078 yards, 19 touchdowns); Sunny Hills quarterback Greg Garand (1,153 yards, five touchdowns) and all-purpose back Robert Oliver (625 yards rushing, 309 yards receiving, 13 touchdowns); Troy running backs Kyion Grayes (591 yards, nine touchdowns) and Vargas (579 yards, four touchdowns); Buena Park running back Neil Flores (389 yards); and La Habra quarterback Jon Marshall (1,472 yards, 12 touchdowns), running back Tom White (344 yards, three touchdowns) and receiver Armstrong (590 yards, five touchdowns).
