An 86-year-old woman was fatally injured Thursday when she crashed her car into a brick wall, sheriff’s officials said.
The Lake Forest woman, who sheriff’s officials declined to identify late Thursday, may have crashed due to a medical problem, Lt. Rich Paddock said.
She suffered a punctured lung and major internal injuries in the accident, which occurred at 6:39 p.m. on Cornelius Drive at El Toro Road.
Paddock said the woman’s 1986 Chrysler Fifth Avenue crashed into a brick wall on Cornelius Drive. She was taken to Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, where she died.
