Fillmore Comes Up Empty, 36-13

Teohua Sanchez completed 19 of 28 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns as St. Bonaventure High routed Fillmore, 36-13, in a Tri-Valley League football game Saturday at Ventura High.
Sanchez connected on touchdown pass plays of five, 75 and 12 yards in the first half as St. Bonaventure took a 36-7 halftime lead.
St. Bonaventure (6-1, 2-0 in league) maintains a half-game lead over Carpinteria (2-5, 1-0) and a one-game lead over Bishop Diego (5-1-1, 1-1).
St. Bonaventure’s Andre Pinedo rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns in 20 carries but lost two fumbles.
Bryce Johnson caught nine passes for 100 yards and a touchdown and Pepe Villasenor caught five passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Timmy Pillado of Fillmore (2-5, 0-2) was limited to 21 yards in 12 carries but scored two touchdowns. Vidal Morales carried 12 times for 48 yards and quarterback Phillip Zavala completed six of 18 passes for 62 yards and two interceptions.
