Pepperdine is averaging 56 points and has made only 15 of 47 free throws (31.9%) in the last three games. Center Bryan Hill leads Pepperdine with averages of 13.8 points and 7.2 rebounds. Syracuse lost its first two Big East Conference games to West Virginia and Miami last week before rebounding with a 79-45 victory over Buffalo on Tuesday. Junior swingman Todd Burgan, averaging a team-leading 16.3 points, is appealing a university-imposed, seven-game suspension for allegedly injuring a female student.
