UC Irvine Falters, Loses to Utah, 66-58
Utah took advantage of 16 second-half UC Irvine turnovers to defeat the Anteaters, 66-58, in a pool-play game of the UC Irvine Tournament on Friday night at the Bren Events Center. UC Irvine (2-3) led, 34-28, at halftime and shot 60.9% from the field in the first half.
Hilary King-Noel scored 16 points for Utah (5-1). Alli Bills scored 15 points and had six assists for the Utes.
Megan Stafford scored 21 points for the Anteaters. Stafford led the team with seven turnovers.
Leticia Oseguera scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds for UC Irvine.
In another tournament game, Colorado State defeated USC, 67-64.
