In other Hart tournament games:

Simi Valley 84, Murphy 63--The Pioneers (10-0) broke open a close game with a 21-7 run at the end of the second quarter and coasted in a semifinal.

Sophomore center Rafael Berumen, who scored 46 points and had 22 rebounds in his first two games of the tournament, had 28 points and seven rebounds. He scored 19 in the first half, when Simi Valley took a 40-22 lead.

Freshmen Branduinn Fullove and Brett Michel scored 18 and 13 points, and Ronnie Noel had 12 assists.

Cleveland 63, West Bakersfield 62--West Bakersfield (3-8) missed three shots in the closing seconds as the Cavaliers (10-3) escaped in overtime in a fifth-place semifinal.

Cleveland, which trailed by 13 points in the third quarter, was led by Donald Holt with 23 points and Kenny Mason with 13, including three three-point baskets. The game was tied, 56-56, at the end of regulation.

Sylmar 60, San Fernando 50--The Spartans (6-6) led from start to finish in a victory over neighborhood rival San Fernando (5-6) in the fifth-place semifinals.

The Spartans, who led by as many as 23 points, had four players score in double figures, including Jerimiah Turner with 15 points and Daron Wilson with 14.

Luis De La Rosa had 19 points and Reggie Kinlaw 16 for San Fernando.

In the Ventura tournament:

Buena 60, Agoura 57--The Bulldogs (7-3) converted 11 of 14 free throws in the championship final.

Guard T.J. Stafford scored 19 points, including eight free throws in eight attempts. Ian Boys scored 16 points, including two free throws which gave Buena a 58-54 lead with 13 seconds to play.

Ryan Fay of Buena, selected the tournament’s most valuable player, scored nine points.

Granada Hills 51, Bakersfield Centennial 49--Desmond Williams made a basket with two seconds to play for Granada Hills (6-5) in the consolation final. Williams had 15 points and 18 rebounds.

Ventura 69, Calabasas 53--Christian Gallagher scored 15 of his game-high 19 points in the first half for the Cougars (6-5) in the third-place game.

Highland 65, Crespi 63--Mike Paul’s 28-footer with two seconds remaining allowed the Bulldogs (4-10) to end a 10-game losing streak in the seventh-place game.

In the Birmingham tournament:

Birmingham 46, Monroe 34--Raymond Kizzee scored 16 points for the Braves (7-5) in a semifinal.

San Francisco Galileo 50, Van Nuys 38--Isiah Thomas had 13 points for the Wolves (4-7) in a consolation game.

In the Covina tournament:

Oak Park 99, Charter Oak 75--Senior guard Randy Gastwirt scored a career-high 41 points for Oak Park (7-3) in a fifth-place semifinal.

In the Santa Paula tournament:

Oxnard 66, Fillmore 35--Desmond Davis had 13 points and Jacob Rogers had 10 rebounds for Oxnard in the third-place final.
