Chapman Women Stop No. 8 Wheaton

Chapman upset previously undefeated Wheaton (Ill.), ranked eighth in the nation in Division III women’s basketball, 79-75, Tuesday night at Chapman.

Chapman led at the half, 33-25, and held off a late rally by Wheaton (9-1), which scored 50 second-half points but shot only 37% for the game.

Chapman (6-3) shot 54% from the field, led by Lindsay Foss with 21 points. Lyndsay Brown scored 20 points and Courtney Kanegae had seven points and eight assists for Chapman.
