Flu season hit Chenowith hard--he lost more than 20 pounds--but the 7-foot-1 center seems to be regaining his strength. Friday, he had a school-record 40 points--and 18 rebounds--in a 72-42 Century League victory over Foothill. Saturday, he had 29 points and 10 rebounds as the No. 6 Spartans beat third-ranked Los Alamitos, 71-54.

Semaj Johnson/Basketball/Guard

* San Clemente, junior. Scored 30 points, including a full-court three-pointer, in an 87-77 overtime victory over Trabuco Hills.

Adam Novak/Soccer/Forward

* Fountain Valley, senior. Scored a goal in each of two games as the Barons beat Esperanza and Marina in Sunset League play.
