Wolfsen Leads Orangewood Academy

Nicholas Wolfsen scored 23 points as Orangewood Academy defeated Los Angeles Baptist, 83-58, Thursday in the first round of the Southern Section Division V-A playoffs. The Spartans (14-8) play the winner of tonight’s L.A. Pacific Hills-Long Beach Zinsmeyer Academy game Tuesday in the second round.

Joey Owald scored 19 points and Oliver Karsten had 14 for host Orangewood Academy. Ernest Dabbs was the game’s leading scorer with 24 points for L.A. Baptist (18-3).
