Greco Hits Four Doubles in Crescenta Valley Victory

Crescenta Valley High junior Michelle Greco recorded the first quadruple-double of her career to lead the Falcons over Nogales, 78-27, in a first-round game of the Southern Section Division I-A girls’ basketball playoffs Saturday night at Crescenta Valley.

Playing in only the first three quarters, Greco finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals, and second-seeded Crescenta Valley improved to 25-2.

Liz Deleon scored nine points for Nogales (11-13).

In other first-round Division I-A games:

Buena 94, Montebello 27--Nicole Greathouse scored 31 points and Jessica Huber came off the bench to add 18 for the Bulldogs (22-2) at Buena.

Greathouse made 13 of 15 shots and had seven rebounds. Renae Hofmann had 10 points, Stephanie Kinnear had six rebounds and Kelly Murray had five steals for the Bulldogs, who have won 10 consecutive games.

Thousand Oaks 62, Littlerock 25--Jenn Detmer scored 24 points and Liz Nesbitt added 10 for the Lancers (19-6) at Thousand Oaks.

DIVISION II-AA

Santa Barbara 61, Ventura 47--Alex Gientke scored 11 points for host Ventura (18-7). Lisa Willett led Santa Barbara (17-10) with 13 points.

DIVISION II-A

Moorpark 73, Agoura 55--Damaris Hinojosa had 23 points, 10 steals, 15 rebounds and seven assists to lead the Musketeers (22-2) at Agoura (10-15).

DIVISION III-AA

Alemany 68, San Luis Obispo 52--Kate Beckler scored 19 points and Dana Rios added 18 for the Indians (21-4) at L.A. Baptist.

DIVISION III-A

Nordhoff 57, Morningside 55--Erin Barker had 23 points and Nell Becker added 16 for the Rangers (22-4) in a quarterfinal game at Morningside (6-23).

DIVISION IV-AA

Paraclete 49, Gabrielino 22--Kim Whisler had 19 points to lead the Spirits (20-3) over Gabrielino (11-12) at Paraclete.

Louisville 68, Ramona Convent 41--Rosie Chingcuangco had 27 points and six steals and Becky Witt had 10 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Royals (16-6) over Ramona Convent (18-9) at Louisville.

La Salle 53, La Reina 52--Monique Flores’ basket with three seconds to play lifted La Salle (14-7) at La Reina. MacKenzie Vandergeest scored 12 points for La Reina (15-5).

Fillmore 68, Big Bear 49--April Kozar had 22 points and 15 rebounds and Christie Rosenblad had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Flashes (20-5) at Fillmore.

DIVISION IV-A

Bell-Jeff 64, L.A. Baptist 25--Cheryl Flores had 16 points, seven assists and six steals for the Guards (26-1) at Bell-Jeff. Veronica Cobb contributed 15 points and 12 rebounds.

DIVISION V-AA

Montclair Prep 52, Cate 51--Laura Power made a free throw with five seconds left in overtime to lift the Mounties (26-4) at Montclair Prep.
