Ventura 12, Cal Lutheran JV 10--Burke Braun hit for the cycle for the Pirates in a nonconference win at Ventura.
Braun hit his first home run of the season in the first inning. He had a double in the third, a two-run triple in the fourth and a run-scoring single in the sixth. Braun had four RBIs and scored three runs.
Ventura designated hitter Jeremy Pierce had two hits, three RBIs and scored three runs.
Antelope Valley 17, Barstow 11--Tim Guzman had three doubles and four RBIs for the Marauders (2-11) in a Foothill Conference Northern Division opener.
Dave Place had four hits and drove in two runs for Antelope Valley.
SOFTBALL
Antelope Valley 15, Valley 1--Tracy Patterson hit for the cycle and scored four runs for the Marauders (4-8-1) in a nonconference game at Antelope Valley.
Patterson had a triple in the first inning, a home run in the second, and a single and double during a 10-run fourth.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Cal Lutheran 69, La Sierra 26--Brandie Murrish had 25 points, seven assists, six steals and five rebounds for the Regals in a nonconference game at La Sierra in Riverside.
Evi Orologas scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Cal Lutheran (14-10), which concludes the regular season Thursday with a game at home against Whittier.
