She Gets the Answer but Doesn’t Like It
So more attention is given to the male NCAA tournament than the women’s because the men’s is more important. Says who? Says a couple of male letter writers who just came out of the cave, dragging their women by the hair [Viewpoint, March 22]. Maybe if women’s sports got half the attention and money that was thrown away on men’s sports, more people would watch.
I have written major networks and sports anchors asking what gives, and have gotten rude letters back in response. I guess that answers my question. If we want better coverage of women’s sports, except for those that put them in body-clinging attire, I guess we need a changing of the guard.
