The Cal State Northridge softball team will...

The Cal State Northridge softball team will try to maintain its momentum when it plays host to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo today in a Big West Conference doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. .

Northridge (24-14-2, 11-7 in conference play) has won eight of nine and is in third place in the conference, 1 1/2 games behind first-place San Luis Obispo (32-9, 13-6).

Sophomore right-hander Tara Glaister (15-8), who has won her past seven decisions, is expected to start the first game for the Matadors.

College baseball: At 11 a.m., Cal Lutheran at Caltech (doubleheader). At 1 p.m., Hancock at Moorpark, Cuesta at Oxnard, Pierce at Mission, Valley at Canyons, Santa Barbara at Ventura, The Master’s at Chapman. At 6 p.m., Bakersfield at Glendale.

College softball: At noon, Cal Lutheran at Occidental. At 2 p.m., Canyons at Valley.

Men’s tennis: At 9:30 a.m., Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Cal Lutheran. At 1 p.m., Pepperdine in West Coast Conference Championships at Pepperdine.

Women’s tennis: At 9:30 a.m., Cal Lutheran at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

College track and field: At 11 a.m., Cal State Northridge vs. Houston and UCLA at UCLA.

High school baseball: At 11 a.m., Saugus at Palmdale (doubleheader), Montclair Prep at Chaminade (doubleheader), Harvard-Westlake vs. St. Francis at Brookside Park, Canyon at Thousand Oaks (doubleheader), Viewpoint at Campbell Hall (doubleheader). At 4 p.m., Crespi at Burroughs (doubleheader).

High school softball: At 10:30 a.m., Moorpark at Rio Mesa (doubleheader). At 11 a.m., St. Paul vs. Chaminade at Chaminade Middle School (doubleheader), Paraclete at Highland (doubleheader).
