Trades announced Saturday during the 1997 NFL draft:

* 1. New York Jets traded their first-round (No. 6) choice to Tampa Bay for the Buccaneers’ first-round (No. 8) and fourth-round (No. 104) choices. Tampa Bay traded the first-round (No. 6) choice to Seattle. New York selected James Farrior, LB, Virginia.

* 2. Tampa Bay traded the first-round (No. 6) choice to Seattle for the Seahawks’ first-round (No. 12) and third-round (No. 63) choices. Seattle selected Walter Jones, T, Florida State. Tampa Bay selected Warrick Dunn, RB, Florida State, and Frank Middleton, G, Arizona.

* 3. Houston traded its first-round (No. 13) and fourth-round (No. 110) choices to Kansas City for the Chiefs’ first-round (No. 18), third-round (No. 91), fourth-round (No. 116) and sixth-round (No. 181) choices. Kansas City selected Tony Gonzalez, TE, California, and (No. 110). Kansas City selected Kenny Holmes, DE, Miami; Scott Sanderson, T, Washington State.

* 4. Philadelphia traded its first-round (No. 22) choice to Dallas for the Cowboys’ first-round (No. 25), fifth-round (No. 155) and 1998 third-round draft choices. Dallas selected David LaFleur, TE, Louisiana State. Philadelphia selected Jon Harris, DE, Virginia.

* 5. St. Louis traded its second-round (No. 38) choice to Chicago for the Bears’ second-round (No. 40) and sixth-round (No. 173) choices. Chicago selected John Allred, TE, USC. St. Louis selected Dexter McCleon, DB, Clemson.

* 6. Dallas traded its second-round (No. 54) choice to Detroit for the Lions’ third-round (No. 65) and fourth-round (No. 101) choices. Detroit selected Kevin Abrams, DB, Syracuse. Dallas selected Dexter Coakley, LB, Appalachian State.

* 7. Philadelphia traded its second-round (No. 55) choice to San Francisco for the Eagles’ second-round (No. 57), sixth-round (No. 190) and seventh-round (No. 227) draft choices. San Francisco selected Marc Edwards, FB, Notre Dame. Philadelphia selected James Darling, LB, Washington State.

* 8. New York Jets traded their third-round (No. 67) choice to Denver for the Broncos’ third-round (No. 88), sixth-round (No. 191), seventh-round (No. 229) and 1998 sixth-round choices. Denver selected Dan Neil, C, Texas. Jets selected Dedric Ward, WR, Northern Iowa.

* 9. Arizona traded its third-round (No. 67) choice to Philadelphia for the Eagles’ third-round (No. 84) and sixth-round (No. 188) choices. Philadelphia selected Duce Staley, RB, South Carolina. Arizona selected Ty Howard, DB, Ohio State.
