Event: Basketball Coaches Clinic. Days: Friday-Saturday, May 9-10. Time: Begins 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. Saturday. Site: Concordia University Arena, 530 Concordia West, Irvine. Fee: $45 preregistration, $50 at the door. Basics: Presented by the Snow Valley Basketball School, clinic will feature CBA coach of the year Mo McHone of the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Bill Musselman, coach at South Alabama. FOOTBALL

Event: West Coast Passing School. Days: Monday-Friday, July 7-11. Time: 1-4:30 p.m. Site: Saddleback College. Fee: $150. Basics: Applications are available for the camp, which is open to all boys age 10 through seniors in high school. Curriculum covers fundamentals of quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end in the passing game. School is run by Saddleback College football Coach Bill Cunerty and a veteran staff of college and high school coaches and college players. GOLF

Event: Southern California PGA Metro Chapter Golf School. Day: Wednesday, July 16. Time: 9 a.m.-dusk. Site: Pelican Hill Golf Club. Fee: $250. Basics: All day instruction program includes video swing analysis, club fitting and a lecture from David Wright, a golf professional who specializes in the mental side of the game. Also includes a round of golf with a professional at Pelican Hill. Four to one ratio of students to pros. Space limited to the first 32 to sign up. Proceeds benefit the SCPGA’s junior golf program. GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Fee: $130 for junior and senior high camp; $100 for ages 6-12. Basics: Camps are designed to teach and focus on fundamentals of basketball. Payment due June 15.
