Faxon, Kite Share Lead at Greensboro
Taking to heart a swing tip from CBS analyst Peter Kostis after the second round, Brad Faxon shot a tournament-low 65 Saturday to share the third-round lead of the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic with Tom Kite at 14-under 202.
“My irons were radar-like today,” said Faxon, who fired his seven-under round during the tournament’s first day without a lift-clean-and-place rule. At one point during his round at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., he birdied six of eight holes.
Kite joined Faxon with a four-under back nine and a round of 67. Faxon and Kite hold a three-shot lead over four players, including Ernie Els. Kite is seeking his first tour victory since 1993.

Using an eagle three from the fairway on No. 13, Nancy Lopez built a one-stroke lead on a rain-drenched course during the suspended second round of the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship in Stockbridge, Ga.
Lopez was seven under through 17 holes on the 6,187-yard Eagles Landing Country Club course.
Kelly Robbins and Leigh Ann Mills completed their rounds and were at three-under 141.
