SEASON AT A GLANCE: Canchola, the 1995 Division III cross-country state champion, has set four school records in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters this year. With personal bests of 4:55.07 in the 1,600 and 10:46.70 in the 3,200, she ranks second and third on the region’s yearly performer list.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Canchola clocked 4:55.07 in the 1,600 and 10:50.08 in the 3,200 to win the Division III titles in the Southern Section championships at Cerritos College on Saturday. The victories gave Canchola her first two section championships in track after winning titles in cross-country from 1994-96. “I was kind of tired in the 3,200,” she said. “But the 1,600 felt great.”
