WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Long Beach StingRays of the American Basketball League traded guard Michelle Marciniak and forward Nadine Malcolm to the Philadelphia Rage for one-time Long Beach State point guard Dana Wilkerson.
Wilkerson, 28, will compete for the guard spot with former USC player Nicky McCrimmon and Hungarian Andrea Nagy.
Wilkerson is the all-time assist leader at Long Beach State.
Marciniak, who was named most outstanding player of the 1996 Final Four while playing for Tennessee, began her pro career as the Portland Power’s starting point guard last season and came to Long Beach as an expansion player.
