Bishop Amat may be wounded--starting running back Mike Wagner fractured a hip in Week 8 and starting quarterback Sean Koelle has a separated right shoulder--but the Lancers are still dangerous. Their only loss this season was a 3-0 setback to L.A. Loyola for the Del Ray League title. Sophomore Chris Ricks stepped in nicely for Koelle, throwing two second-half touchdowns in the 19-14 second-round victory over Rialto Eisenhower. Unbeaten Mater Dei was pushed by Los Alamitos, but ultimately prevailed, 40-23. Mike McNair is the first single-season 2,000-yard rusher in school history.
