Laguna Hills Must Go to La Mirada for Division VIII Final on Friday

Laguna Hills, led by Orange County’s career rushing leader Michael Jones, will travel to La Mirada High Friday night for the Southern Section Division VIII title football game.
The Hawks (12-1), winners of the Pacific Coast League, will be making their first appearance in a title game since 1991, when they won the Division VII championship. La Mirada (12-0-1) is the Suburban League champion.
Saturday’s Division V final between defending champion Santa Margarita (13-0), winner of 24 consecutive games and the Sea View League title, and Tustin (13-0), Golden West League champion, will be at Cal State Fullerton.
The same night, Mater Dei (13-0), defending Division I and South Coast League champion, puts its 27-game winning streak on the line against Moore League champion Long Beach Poly (13-0) in the Division I title game at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
Kickoff time for each game is 7:30 p.m.
