Hancock Defeats Golden West

Becky Fraser scored 25 points for Golden West, but the Rustlers fell to Hancock, 81-70, in the consolation championship of the Hancock tournament Sunday in Santa Maria.
Fraser, a freshman forward from Ocean View High, had 22 points in the 68-57 victory over Cerro Coso Saturday and 35 points in a 63-54 loss to Cuesta Friday in the first round.
Fraser is averaging 26 points.
Shauna Steward, a freshman guard from Edison High, had 24 Sunday and finished the tournament with 71 points in three games.
Golden West is 4-7.
In the third-place game:
Cuesta 59, Saddleback 46--The loss dropped the Gauchos to 4-7.
