Career at a Glance: At 6-feet-7, 240 pounds, Moore is in his third season as an inside force for the Spartans. He averaged 9.1. points and 4.3 rebounds as a sophomore, and improved to 22.1 points and 7.4 rebounds last season in leading the Spartans to their 10th consecutive Rio Hondo League championship. A legitimate Division I college prospect, Moore is averaging more than 20 points and 10 rebounds a game this season for the No. 10-ranked Spartans.

Week at a Glance: Moore averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds in three games to lead the Spartans into the La Canada tournament final. He had 30 points and 12 rebounds in a semifinal against talented Torrance Bishop Montgomery, which has nine players listed at 6 feet 4 or taller.

GIRLS

Michelle French School: Chaminade

Year: Senior

Sport: Soccer

Career at a Glance: A four-year varsity player, French has helped the Eagles to a 63-16-11 record, two Mission League championships and a Southern Section Division III title. The 5-foot-8, 148 pound striker had a standout freshman season, but hasn’t matched that potential since. Last season, she injured ligaments in her ankle and was never at full strength.

Week at a Glance: Chaminade (9-0-1) went 2-0-1 during the week, winning the El Segundo tournament for the second consecutive year. Saturday she scored once in Chaminade’s 3-0 defeat of Immaculate Heart in the El Segundo Tournament semifinals. Later that day, in a 2-0 title game defeat of Maranatha, French assisted on the first goal and scored the second. She has four goals and four assists this season. “It was the best she’s played in three years,” Chaminade Coach Mike Evans said.
