Piranha update--The Piranhas were officially eliminated from the playoffs after last week’s 68-43 loss to Tampa Bay. Wide receiver/defensive back Rodney Mazion continued his fine season by returning five kickoffs for 174 yards and a touchdown. Mazion is on pace to pass the 1,800-yard mark for return yardage in a season.

Rattler update--Arizona handed the Piranhas their worst loss of the season and their worst loss since moving from Las Vegas two years ago, 58-26, on May 16 in Phoenix. The Rattlers have the Arena Football League’s best record. Quarterback Sherdrick Bonner has passed for 52 touchdowns and has had only six passes intercepted.
