Authorities are searching for three men in connection with the kidnapping and rape of a 34-year-old woman over the weekend.

Oxnard Police Det. Robert Cox said the woman had purchased food at a store and was walking to a taxi stand in the area of Meta and 5th streets at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday when a man approached her and pointed a handgun at her head.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the woman, the suspect ordered her to get inside a red pickup truck, where two men were waiting, Cox said. The suspect got into a small white truck.

The men drove to a nearby field and all three raped the woman, Cox said. During the attack, the woman was kicked and beaten, and the men dumped her in the field before driving back toward Oxnard, authorities said.

The woman walked to a nearby business and called police.

Authorities describe the man with the gun as a cleanshaven Latino in his mid-20s, about 5 feet tall, 180 pounds, with short black hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans and white high-top tennis shoes.

The driver of the red truck is described as a Latino also in his mid-20s, about 5 feet tall, 150 pounds, with short black hair and cleanshaven. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and white high-top tennis shoes.

His passenger was Latino, in his late 20s, about 5-foot-2, 160 pounds, with short black hair and cleanshaven. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and white high-top tennis shoes.

Cox said the red 1988 pickup truck had a red camper shell with tinted windows. It had a bench seat and black interior.

The white truck is a 1980s model, with black interior and damage to the passenger door.

All of the suspects spoke Spanish.
