Simers Gets Writing Honors
T.J. Simers, The Times’ national pro football columnist, took a first place in game-story writing and a third in feature writing in the Pro Football Writers’ Assn. of America contest awards announced recently. His winning game story was on the Green Bay Packers’ victory over the Carolina Panthers in the NFC title game; his feature was on Washington Redskin assistant coach Ron Lynn.
