Esparza to Leave Cal State Fullerton

Rochelle Esparza, an All-American high school volleyball player, has dropped out of Cal State Fullerton and plans to enroll at El Camino College this fall, Titan Coach Mary Ellen Murchison said Monday.
Esparza sat out last season at Fullerton as a Proposition 48 redshirt and failed to qualify academically to play this season for the Titans.
Esparza was a Southern Section player of the year in 1995 at Manhattan Beach Mira Costa High.
“It’s tough to lose her, but we think she’ll be successful there, and she certainly will help their program,” Murchison said.
