Police have arrested a Long Beach gang member suspected of shooting three people at a Cypress taco stand early Sunday.

Cypress detectives are now hoping to locate the 17-year-old suspect’s alleged accomplice, who they say drove the getaway car after the gunman opened fire on a crowd of youths at about 2 a.m. at Alber Tacos in the 5800 block of Lincoln Avenue in Cypress.

One of the shooting victims was in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital after receiving treatment for a bullet wound to the throat, police said. Another youth was shot in the wrist and a third victim was hit in the leg; both were treated and released.

Sgt. John Avila said the suspect, whose name was not released, was arrested in Long Beach Tuesday and would be charged with three counts of attempted murder.

Investigators are now looking for the alleged getaway car, a white 1990 Honda Prelude with tinted windows, Avila said. He asked anyone who has seen the car to call detectives at (714) 229-6638.
