St. Margaret’s Scores Two Touchdowns, Hangs On

St. Margaret’s two touchdowns in the first half were all the points it would need as the Tartans defeated Riverside California School for the Deaf, 14-8, Thursday at Capistrano Valley High School.

The Tartans’ (4-4, 2-2) first score came when quarterback Jimmy Freeman connected with Dylan Gilbert in the first quarter on a 16-yard pass to make the score 7-0 after Alex Perrin’s extra point.

St. Margaret’s other touchdown was a 12-yard pass from Perrin to Rhett Swanson in the second quarter to make the score, 14-0, at the half.
