Capistrano Valley 9, Newport Harbor 7--Dennis Connolly scored with 3 minutes 9 seconds left in the game to help Capistrano Valley (21-8) advance to the semifinals. Eric Meadows, with 15 saves, gave up only two goals the six times Newport Harbor had a man advantage. Newport Harbor ended the season 19-7.

Foothill 12, Santa Margarita 3--Behind good goalkeeping by Nick Ellis (11 saves) and tough defensive play, the Knights never lost control of the game. Robby Arroyo scored four goals for Foothill (23-4), which led, 8-1, at the half. Santa Margarita finished the season 19-8. Foothill will play North Hollywood Harvard Westlake Saturday in the semifinals.

North Hollywood Harvard Westlake 10, San Clemente 9 (OT)--Bill Strickland and Phil Spataru’s overtime goals gave Harvard Westlake the victory. San Clemente ended the season at 18-8.
