St. Francis 35, Pasadena 32--Chad Heydorff recovered an onside kick with three minutes remaining to preserve the victory for the Golden Knights (3-1) at St. Francis.
Trailing, 35-14, with 10 minutes left, Pasadena cut the deficit to nine points on touchdown runs of four and one yard by Corandole Daniels. After stopping St. Francis on its next two possessions, Pasadena (2-2) cut the lead to three points when Daniels found Tywan Gholar wide open in the left corner of the end zone with 3:13 left.
St. Francis dominated the first half, holding Pasadena to 72 yards, but was only able to build a 28-14 lead when it scored 14 points in the final 2:53 of the first half.
Darius Brown rushed for 110 yards in 14 carries and scored on runs of two and one yard. Crayton Milton added scoring runs of one and 21 yards for the Golden Knights.
Kjell Nesen was nine of 13 passing for 91 yards and had a five-yard touchdown pass for St. Francis. Nesen also had a 47-scoring run nullified by a clipping penalty.
