Hershiser limited the Yankees to two runs and eight hits in seven innings in Game 4 of the division series, a 3-2 Indian victory. “Whatever the count is against Orel, you have to subtract one ball,” Oriole hitting instructor Rick Down said. “If it’s 3-2, in Orel’s mind it’s 2-2, and he won’t give in to you by throwing a hitter’s pitch. You have to be aggressive with your pitch, not hit.” Cleveland Manager Mike Hargrove said he expects David Justice, who suffered a bruised left rotator cuff diving back to second in the third inning of Game 2, to play today.
