According to police, an officer found the first car--a late-model Cadillac El Dorado reported stolen Friday night from a home on Deodar Avenue--on the 700 block of South Oxnard Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m.

Two adults and another juvenile were also in the car. They were questioned and later released, police said.

The department’s second recovery occurred less than an hour later. Officers saw a Buick Regal, which had been reported stolen from a home on the 100 block of Gibraltar Street just minutes earlier, parked near Santa Lucia Drive and Balsam Drive.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Marco Antonio Ramirez of Oxnard on charges of auto theft, police said. He was later booked into Ventura County Jail. A female passenger was questioned and later released.

Both arrests occurred without incident, and the cars were returned to their owners.
