Games Canceled Because of Fire
The fire in the eastern Orange County foothills forced cancellation of high school athletic events Tuesday at Tustin High even though classes were in session. The school’s gymnasium was used as an evacuation center.
Irvine High was closed Tuesday, and the only athletic event scheduled there, a girls’ volleyball match, was moved to Newport Harbor.
School officials said a decision about athletic events scheduled for today at both schools would be made today.
