Skacel-Breault Win in Junior Beach Volleyball

Marcus Skacel of Laguna Niguel and Adam Breault of San Juan Capistrano won the 18-and-under division at the U.S. junior national beach volleyball tournament in Orlando, Fla.

Ruth Lazzari and Paola Rodriguez won the 15-and-under girls’ division.

Both teams qualified for the U.S. team that will compete in Brazil and Italy in 1998.

A ceremony honoring the Roller Hockey International champion Bullfrogs will be at the main entrance of the Pond at 10 a.m. today.

The Bullfrogs won their second Murphy Cup title Sunday with a 9-5 victory over the New Jersey Rockin’ Rollers. The Murphy Cup will be on display.

Mark Lamb, a freshman defender on the Cal State Fullerton men’s soccer team, will be out for the rest of the season after he broke his right leg in two places in Monday’s 2-1 victory over Santa Clara. Lamb was hurt in the third minute of the match.
