A Huntington Beach man was robbed outside his home Wednesday of about $4,000 he had just earned selling baseball cards at a collectors show in Walnut, police said.

Seymour Bernzweig told police he was confronted by the gunman as he walked to his front door on the 16200 block of Hollywood Lane, shortly after 10 p.m. The man held a blue steel semi-automatic handgun and demanded the cash, police said.

Investigators suspect Bernzweig was either followed home from the show or that the robber was waiting for him to arrive, Lt. Luis Ochoa said. Bernzweig, 40, said he parked in the driveway and had started up the walk when he was startled by the man, who fled on foot.
