Fire Near Resort Area Prompts Evacuations
A wildfire roared across 700 acres Saturday, burning several structures, prompting evacuations and shutting down one of the main routes into the Lake Arrowhead-Big Bear Lake resort areas.

“Homes and outbuildings are pretty much what would be there,” she said. Residents in Fredalba and Smiley Park, south of Running Springs, were evacuated, but Wenstrom couldn’t say how many people were affected.
