Brethren Christian 28, Los Angeles Murphy 6--Brethren Christian fullback Adrian Castillo rushed for 274 yards and two touchdowns for the Warriors in a nonleague game Saturday night at Lakewood Artesia High.

Castillo scored his first touchdown on an 11-yard run at 9:17 of the second quarter, increasing Brethren Christian’s lead to 21-0. The 5-foot-10 fullback scored the Warriors’ final touchdown on a two-yard run midway through the fourth quarter. Castillo also recovered a fumble early in the game to set up Justin Miller’s 39-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Farris.

“I was planning on 300 [yards],” said Castillo, who also broke a 63-yard run late in the third quarter. “But I’m not worrying about individual goals because it’s all about team work. That’s what Brethren Christian football is all about.”
