GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Nearly all of the top teams in the county will gather at the Orange County Championships, which begin Friday afternoon with pool-play matches at six high schools in Huntington Beach, Westminster and Cypress. Playoff matches begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, with the semifinals tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. at Edison (Division I) and Ocean View (Division II). The finals are on Monday at the Bren Center, with Division II scheduled for 6 p.m. and Division I to follow.

Laguna Beach is top-seeded in Division I. In Division II, Long Beach Poly is the top-seeded team and Trabuco Hills is second.
