Garden Grove 209, Rancho Alamitos 219--Ricci Lerma shot an ace for Garden Grove (2-3, 1-1) at Willowick. Medalist Evan Rothman of Rancho Alamitos (0-7, 0-3) led the way with a one-over 36.

In Century League softball::

No. 1 Foothill 3, Orange 1--Lauren Schwendimann gave up one hit and struck out 14 to lead Foothill (9-1, 1-0). Cheri Nierman and Eryn Manahan each had RBI singles for the Knights. Orange is 5-5, 0-1.

In nonleague softball:

No. 2 Mater Dei 1, No. 9 La Habra 0--Only a sixth-inning error kept Mater Dei’s Tia Bollinger, who pitched a no-hitter, from a perfect game. La Habra is 7-2-1 and Mater Dei is 9-2.

No. 4 Woodbridge 11, Ocean View 0 (6, mercy)--Christy Robitaille pitched her first no-hitter of the season, striking out 12 and walking none. Natasha Watley was four for four. She scored three runs and had two stolen bases for Woodbridge (11-3).

No. 8 Santa Margarita 2, Edison 0--Katie Fennelli hit a two-run single in the top of the sixth in the victory for Santa Margarita (9-1-1). Edison is 6-4.

In South Coast League boys’ swimming:

No. 2 Mission Viejo 128, Mater Dei 33--Polish exchange student Attila Szilagyi earned his Southern Section qualifying time in the 500 freestyle (4 minutes 48.31 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:02.59).

No. 10 Capistrano Valley 86, Dana Hills 82--Blair Wallace won the 200 freestyle (1:55.65) and 500 freestyle (5:06.88), and Warren Kenzie was first in the 100 butterfly (56.78) and was on two winning relays for Capistrano Valley (2-3, 2-0).

In Pacific Coast League boys’ tennis:

No. 6 Aliso Niguel 10, University 8--The Wolverines won six of nine singles matches to remain undefeated. Jason Mednick swept, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2, and Chris Kan won, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2, for Aliso Niguel (11-0, 4-0).

In Sea View League boys’ track and field:

Newport Harbor 83, No. 9 Woodbridge 47--Chuck Loo won four events for Newport Harbor (1-2, 1-0). Loo won the 200 meters (23.3), 110 hurdles (15.1), high jump (5 feet 10 inches) and triple jump (40-6). Woodbridge is 1-2, 0-1.

In Sea View League girls’ track and field:

No. 8 Newport Harbor 70, No. 2 Woodbridge 60--April Ross moved into the county’s top three in the triple jump with a mark of 35-5 for Newport Harbor (1-0 in league). Junior Meryl Stone had one of the best times in the county in the 100 meters (12.3) and moved into the top three in the 200 meters (26.0) for Woodbridge (2-1, 0-1).

In the South Coast League:

No. 1 Mission Viejo 94, Trabuco Hills 41--Dana Bethel won the 200 (27.1) and 110 hurdles (15.1) and finished second in the long jump (18- 1/2) for Mission Viejo (2-0, 1-0).
