Granada Hills 6, Birmingham 5--Peter Gunny hit a three-run home run and pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the save to pace Granada Hills (5-6, 2-4) in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Birmingham.

Crespi 11, St. Francis 0--Tim Leveque (4-0) struck out nine and walked one in a three-hitter for the Celts (10-0-1, 6-0) in a Mission League victory at Valley College.

Crespi scored eight runs in the first inning on three hits and eight walks. Anthony Trejo drove in two runs and Andy Campanella had a run-scoring triple and a sacrifice fly for the Celts. Zeke Morrow doubled and had two RBIs.

Loyola 2, Harvard-Westlake 0--Keith Ramsey struck out 13 and allowed only two singles for the victorious Cubs in a Mission League game at Harvard-Westlake.

Derek Slattery had a run-scoring double for Loyola (2-2 in league).

Matt Thayer (0-1) struck out eight and allowed five hits while going the distance for Harvard-Westlake (4-6, 1-2).

L.A. Baptist 11, Kilpatrick 0--L.A. Baptist’s Tim Feirfeil (3-0) allowed only a double to David Diaz and retired 10 consecutive batters in one stretch of a four-inning pitching stint for the Knights (6-2, 1-0)) in an Alpha League game at L.A. Baptist.

Chad Vojtech had two hits and drove in three runs and Scott Swenson had two hits and two RBIs for L.A. Baptist.

Palmdale 5, Highland 4--Sophomore Matt Harrington (3-0) struck out 10 and walked one for host Palmdale (9-2, 5-0) while scattering seven hits in a Golden League game.

Sophomore John Santor hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning for Highland (5-5, 1-3).

Chris Testa doubled twice for Palmdale, driving in one run and scoring once, while Mike Arrellano had a run-scoring double and a run-scoring single for the Falcons.

Antelope Valley 9, Lancaster 3--Hector Velez and Brett Roth each drove in two runs with three hits for host Antelope Valley (2-6, 1-2) in a Golden League game.

Velez had a two-run double and Roth had a one-run double, while Mike Seward (1-1) struck out nine and walked two in 5 1/3 innings to earn his first victory.

Hoover 9, Muir 5--Fabian Fragoso had three hits and three runs batted in for Hoover (4-4-1, 2-2-1) in a Pacific League home game that lasted five innings because of rain.

Tony Avila hit a three-run home run in the first inning for Hoover.

Paraclete 10, Montclair Prep 0--Sophomore Matt Parris pitched a six-inning one-hitter for host Paraclete (9-0), striking out five and walking one in a nonleague game that was called because of the 10-run rule.

Dave Brown drove in four runs for the Spirits with three hits, including a pair of doubles. His three-run double in the second inning was part of a six-run rally.

North Hollywood 15, North Torrance 1--Jose Figueroa hit a three-run home run to cap a 10-run third inning for the Huskies (9-3) in a second-round game of the Redondo tournament at North Hollywood.
