Wolf Gets Eight Strikeouts, Victory in Double-A Debut
Randy Wolf (El Camino Real High, Pepperdine) made his double-A debut Saturday for Reading (Phillies) in an Eastern League victory over Trenton, 5-4. Wolf struck out eight, walked one and allowed two hits in five shutout innings. . . . Roland De La Maza (St. Genevieve, College of the Canyons) made his first start for triple-A Omaha (Royals) on Sunday and lost to Tucson, 7-4. . . . Former JetHawk Shane Monahan leads the trriple-A Pacific Coast League with two triples for Tacoma (Mariners).

The JetHawks’ game Monday at Modesto was rained out and will be made up today as part of a doubleheader at John Thurman Field.
The California League also announced Monday that Lancaster and Rancho Cucamonga will make up the rained out game last Saturday with a doubleheader at Rancho Cucamonga on April 26.

Lancaster’s offensive woes continued Sunday in a 6-2 loss to Modesto in the first game of a three-game series. Four Modesto pitchers combined to strike out 15 and allowed only two hits to a Lancaster team that entered the game with a .193 batting average.
