Additional Term Given to Man in Child Porn Case

A former Marina del Rey resident already serving time for molesting his stepdaughter was sentenced Monday to an extra five years behind bars for taking sexually explicit photos of the girl.

Hugh Boone, a former aerospace engineer who claims to subscribe to the “swingers lifestyle,” pleaded guilty to two federal charges of transporting about 70 photographs, some of them involving the girl’s mother, across state lines.

Assistant U.S. Atty. Luis Li said Boone began taking the pictures in 1994, when the girl was 12, and continued for about a year.

U.S. District Judge George H. King said that the activities of the Boones “very well may have destroyed” the child’s life, “and if she recovers, it will be due to the grace of God and not anything her parents did.”

Boone is serving a nearly 17-year sentence in Florida for molesting the girl after the couple moved from California to St. Petersburg. His wife, Cynthia Ann Boone, pleaded guilty last year to similar charges for posing in the sexually graphic pictures with her daughter.
