Dack Scores Game-Winning Goal for Brea Olinda

Nichole Dack scored the game-winner with seven minutes remaining to give visiting Brea Olinda a 2-1 victory over Fullerton in a nonleague girls’ soccer game Thursday.

Tiffany Scott also scored a second-half goal to pull Brea (2-0-1) even, 1-1. Fullerton (0-4) took the early lead on Lacey Kraft’s goal.

In other nonleague games:

Capistrano Valley 3, Newport Harbor 0--Evelyn Miles, Lindsay Greco and Ashley Casas scored in the first half for Capistrano Valley (2-0-1).

Esperanza 3, Lakewood 1--Freshman Erin Clewett scored in the 12th minute on a breakaway and added a second goal in the 69th minute for visiting Esperanza (3-2-3).

Laguna Hills 2, El Modena 1--Kate Kosciuk’s second-half goal broke a 1-1 tie and goalkeeper Jamie Lautenschlager made five saves for host Laguna Hills (5-1).

Marina 2, Canyon 0--Jessica Chase and Laura Riegler scored for host Marina (3-2). Canyon is 1-1-2.

Mater Dei 1, Fountain Valley 0--Kerry Goletz scored the only goal midway through the second half off a direct kick from Alison Fennell for Mater Dei (1-0-1).

Valencia 4, Rosary 1--Alejandra Nunez scored three goals and Katie Eatherton had four assists for visiting Valencia (6-0). Rosary is 2-1-1.

Whittier Christian 2, Whittier Pioneer 1--Ashley Plant scored the game-winner on a breakaway with 10 minutes remaining for host Whittier Christian (3-0-1).

In nonleague boys’ soccer:

Los Alamitos 4, Cypress 0--Junior midfielder Matt Concannon scored two goals for host Los Alamitos (3-1).

Woodbridge 4, Dana Hills 0--Doug Allan posted his second shutout of the season and 46th of his career for Woodbridge (3-0).

In nonleague girls’ water polo:

Irvine 8, University 5--Nicole Huszcz scored four goals and Erin Lezak added a goal and three assists to lead host Irvine (5-0).
