Anthony Gives Dons a Victory

Rochelle Anthony’s 10-footer with two seconds remaining clinched Santa Ana’s 70-68 victory over Los Angeles Harbor in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday at Santa Ana.

Santa Ana (9-4) made 25 of 29 free throws in the game. Stephanie Patten, who made 10 of 10, finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Anthony had 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Dons.

In another nonconference women’s game:

Irvine Valley 70, Citrus 33--Lauren O’Hara had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Jami Allred had 12 points and nine rebounds for Irvine Valley (8-3), which limited visiting Citrus to 26% shooting from the field.

In nonconference men’s basketball:

Irvine Valley 92, San Diego City 64--Ben Esplin scored 36 points, including 12 on three-pointers, and Ryan Ellis also made four three-pointers, scoring 20 points for Irvine Valley (9-3).
