Titans Roll Over Loyola Marymount

Aaron Rowand had two home runs and six runs batted in to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 17-9 victory over Loyola Marymount Wednesday night at Titan Field.

Despite the Titans opening with a seven-run first inning, Loyola came back to take a 9-7 lead in the top of the fourth. But the Titans rallied with two in the fourth and three in the fifth to take the lead for good.

Cal State Fullerton put the game away in the seventh inning, scoring five runs.

Reed Johnson had three RBIs and two doubles for Fullerton (3-1). Ryan Owens had a two-run home run for the Titans.

Kevin Hook had four RBIs for Loyola.

Greg Jacobs got his first victory of the season, pitching two innings for two strikeouts. Loyola’s record is 2-3.
